Shire Healthcare are recruiting for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join an inpatients CAMHS service in Stafford.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will work across various CAMHS wards which will include psychiatric intensive care units and specialist eating disorder units. The post holder will offer assessments and interventions to service users ages 12- 18.
Contract type – Permanent
Hours –part time or full time will be considered
Salary - £44,800 - 49,500 FTE
Experience required:
Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist along with post qualification experience working in CAMHS, preferably inpatients.

Role summary
The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT based on an adult neuro rehab inpatients service for service users with brain injury and complex needs providing:
- Specialist neuropsychological assessments.
- Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment
- Work with both neuropsychological and mental health presentations
- Risk assessment and risk management
- Evidence based therapeutic and rehabilitation intervention
- Provide supervision, advice and leadership to members of the MDT
- Support service managers and consultant clinical Neuropsychologist with the delivery and development of clinical services.
Hours – Full time (part time applicants will be considered)
Salary - £53,000 - £62,000 FTE
Experience required:
Due to the specialist and complex nature of the role, applicants applying will have previous and extensive experience working within neurorehabilitation.

Scott in particular was absolutely brilliant , so helpful, kind and reassuring, and really went out of his way to advise and support me. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and it made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier.
It’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares about staff, but this one truly does. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone , outstanding service all round!
