Therapy Manager (Counsellor) – specialist education
Shire Healthcare are working with a reputable provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a Therapy Manager to be based in a specialist college.
About the employer:
This employer is an independent specialist college and charity. They work with young people in either an educational setting who present a complexity of needs including learning and communication difficulties and special educational needs.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed be leading the MDT as the Therapy Manager. You will bring proven experience in providing operational leadership across multidisciplinary clinical teams, fostering a collaborative, reflective, and evidence-informed culture while ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance and safeguarding. With a strong track record of working in partnership with education teams and external stakeholders, you will be instrumental in driving positive outcomes, embedding inclusive practice, and delivering high-quality therapeutic support across the organisation.
As a registered therapy professional, you have successfully led multidisciplinary teams and are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs, using a strategic and person-centred approach to service delivery
Contract type – permanent and term time
Hours – Full time
Salary – ££46,630.96-£48,348.03 per year
Experience required:
Candidates applying will have:
- Recognised Therapy Degree or equivalent
- Registered Member of the relevant professional body (BACP etc.)
Along with previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
