Therapist – Specialist School

Shire Healthcare are working with a leading specialist education and care provider recruiting for a Psychological Therapist to be based at a specialist school in Rugby.

About the employer:
This employer provides specialist education and care for children and young people with complex needs including developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, SEMH and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will join a multidisciplinary clinical team working across an Ofsted-rated Good specialist school. The role involves supporting trauma-informed practice across education and care settings, delivering therapeutic interventions, and contributing to assessment, formulation and care planning for children and young people with complex needs.

Contract type – permanent
Hours – full time (part time applicants will be considered)
Salary – £37,500 – £45,250 (including paid school holidays, not pro rata) + excellent benefits

Experience required:
Candidates will be qualified mental health professionals (e.g. Psychotherapist, Counsellor or equivalent) eligible for membership of BACP or a similar professional body. Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and developmental trauma, is essential.
