Senior Support Worker

We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to work within a residential setting providing support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs.

This is a permanent position working up to 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Previous experience within adult social care is essential and applicants with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care are highly desirable but isn’t essential.

As a Senior Support Worker, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred support in accordance with individual care and support plans.
  • Supporting adults with personal care, daily living tasks, health appointments, and community activities.
  • Acting as Shift Leader when required, delegating duties and supporting colleagues throughout the shift.
  • Supporting new members of staff through induction and probation periods.
  • Completing accurate documentation, care records, incident reports, and risk assessments.
  • Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and positive outcomes for the individuals you support.
  • Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Administering medication and carrying out healthcare-related tasks where required.
  • Attending training, team meetings, supervisions, and contributing to service development.
