Senior Residential Children’s Worker

We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Children’s Support Worker to join a residential children’s home in Sefton supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step in their career or an established Senior looking for a new challenge.

The Role

You will provide person-centred support to young people within a residential children’s home, while taking additional responsibility on shift and supporting other members of the team.

Your role will include:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting with daily routines, activities and independence
• Providing emotional and practical support
• Taking additional responsibility during shifts
• Supporting and guiding other members of the residential team
• Promoting safeguarding and maintaining high standards of care
• Supporting young people within the home and community

Who We’re Looking For

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Experience supporting children and young people with EBD
• Previous residential childcare experience
• Confidence taking additional responsibility on shift
• A strong understanding of safeguarding

A driving licence is preferred.
