Senior Psychotherapist – children’s residential

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Psychotherapist to work within a residential childcare service in Penrith, Cumbria.

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and supervision within a growing Clinical Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic care to children and young people within residential services.

You will hold a small clinical caseload, delivering trauma-informed therapy and specialist interventions, while also contributing to training, reflective practice, safeguarding and wider service improvement.

Contract type – Permanent

Hours – Full-time

Salary – Up to £54,000

Location – Penrith, Cumbria

Experience required:

• 5+ years’ experience working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally looked-after children.
• Masters-level therapy qualification and registration with BACP, UKCP or HCPC.
• Strong trauma-informed therapy experience.
• Experience providing clinical supervision.
• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment knowledge.
