Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
Job Description:
Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to work within an NHS Talking Therapies service in the West Midlands.
Role snapshot:
This is a hybrid role, offering 4 days per week working from home and 1 day per week on-site in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will join a well-established NHS Talking Therapies service, combining a small clinical caseload with supervision, case management, trainee support and team leadership. The role involves supporting qualified PWPs and trainees through clinical supervision, shadowing, role plays and quality audits, while working closely with the Clinical Lead to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
Contract type – permanent
Hours – full time (37.5 hours)
Location – Hybrid: 4 days remote, 1 day on-site in Birmingham
Salary – £37,000 per annum
Experience required:
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners applying will be fully qualified with BABCP registration, alongside substantial experience working within an NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) service. Previous supervision experience or a recognised supervision qualification is essential, along with confidence supporting trainee development and clinical decision-making.
