Psychologist – step 4

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work for a step 4 adult mental health services in Basildon, Brentwood and Bllericay.

Role summary

The candidate appointed will be joining an adult step 4 service working with general mental health presentations, with a high number of trauma and personality disorder cases. The successful candidate will conduct assessments, including risk assessments, and deliver therapeutic interventions on a 121 and group basis. Interventions may include CAT, EMDR, CBT, IPT, DIT, MBT and DBT.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time (minimum of 3 days per week will be considered)

Salary – £43,500 – £49,600 FTE

Experience required:

Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist along with additional training in either Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behaviour therapy for psychosis (CBT-P), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT) or Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Sound experience working in adult secondary care, specifically trauma and personality disorders, is required.
