Psychologist – SEMH School

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychologist to work in a SEMH school in Walsall, West Midlands.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will provide clinical support to children who present with complex neuro–developmental conditions and SEMH needs.

The post holder will work within an MDT to provide assessments , formulations and appropriate therapeutic interventions. This will include delivering training to the educational /residential teams around the children.

You will also ensure risk assessment/management and promote safeguarding as part of the role.

Contract type – permanent, term time only

Hours – part-time, 3 days per week (22.5 hours per week)

Salary – £59,500 – £69,800 FTE (Actual salary for term-time only.)

Experience required:

Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist along with experience working with children and young people who have complex specialist educational needs.
