Psychologist – SEMH school

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Psychologist to work within a specialist educational setting based in Leicestershire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be working for an employer who have clinical services within educational and care settings for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will be joining the school-based therapy team working with children in a primary school aged 5-11 years old , presenting with Autism, learning disabilities, SEMH needs or communication difficulties.

Your role forms part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team – The successful candidate will deliver clinical assessment and formulation, and offer 1-2-1 interventions. You will also support and consult educational and residential colleagues to ensure they are providing therapeutic environments for service users and effective care.

Contract type – permanent and term time only

Hours – Full time

Salary – £62,750 – £73,650 FTE (52 week contract equivalent salary, term-time contract/salaries offered too!)

Experience required:

Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration along with experience working with young people with SEMH needs / Autism in educational settings.
