Psychologist – CYP autism

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Registered Psychologist to work within a specialist neurodevelopmental service in Staffordshire.

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention and consultation for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, complex needs and mental health difficulties.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to diagnostic assessment, formulation, recommendations, risk management and family support, while also providing clinical supervision, training and supporting wider service development.

Contract type – Permanent

Hours – Full-time

Salary – £49,387

Location – Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire

Experience required:

• Doctorate in Psychology, with HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience assessing and supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and complex needs.
• Experience of autism and/or other neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, formulation and intervention.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and supporting other professionals.
• Experience of clinical supervision and supporting the development of psychologists.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, safeguarding and clinical risk.
