Head of Psychology – low secure

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC reg. Psychologist to take on the role of Head of Psychology for a low secure hospital in Northeast London, CQC rated Good.

About the site:

This hospital is a low secure forensic service for older adults who present with complex mental health such as personality disorder, and/or dementia who also have physical health needs.

About the role:

The Psychologist appointed will be working with the hospital director to ensure a high level of patient care and outcomes. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the MDT and help develop this service.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – 37.5 hours p/w

Salary – £68,500 FTE

Experience required:

Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration and previous experience working in a senior management/strategic level in a complex setting. Clinically, those applying will have sound experience in x3 therapeutic modalities, one being CBT.
