Deputy Manager – supported living

Shire Healthcare are supporting a specialist provider based in Clayton-le-Woods with the recruitment of a Deputy Manager to join one of their supported living services for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week on a shift basis. To be considered, candidates must have previous experience working as a Senior or Deputy Manager within a similar setting and hold a Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.

Role snapshot:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running and development of the service
  • Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Oversee the accuracy of care plans, support guidelines, and risk assessments
  • Lead, supervise, and appraise a team of Support Workers
  • Take responsibility for the service in the Manager’s absence
  • Promote person-centred support and safeguarding at all times
  • Encourage service users to remain active, healthy, and independent
