CQC Specialist Service Manager

We are supporting a specialist provider based in South Normanton, Derbyshire with their permanent recruitment. We are currently looking for a Specialist Service Manager to lead a supported living service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex care requirements.

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Previous experience as a Service Manager or Registered Manager within supported living, residential care, or learning disability services is essential. A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The service supports adults to live as independently as possible within their local community, promoting person-centred care and positive outcomes.

As a Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of support staff through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Ensuring support plans are person-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and aspirations.
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion for all people supported.
  • Managing staffing levels, rotas, and recruitment requirements to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring budgets and resources effectively in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Building positive relationships with families, professionals, commissioners, and external agencies.
  • Supporting quality assurance processes and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Taking overall responsibility for the operational performance of the service.
