Counsellor – SEN

Shire Healthcare are looking to recruit a Counsellor to join and support a specialist school in Warwickshire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will provide clinical support to children who present with complex neuro–developmental conditions. (ADHD/ASD/Aspergers and SEMH.)

The post holder will work within an MDT to support colleagues in providing a therapeutic learning environment for the children. Alongside this, you will complete assessments, formulations and bespoke interventions to engage the young people.

Contract type – permanent, 38 week contract (term-time only)

Hours – full time (part-time applicants may be considered)

Salary – £35,500 – £43,000 FTE

Experience required:

Applicants applying will have accreditation with the BACP (or a similar professional body) and experience working with children and young people who have complex needs.
