Clinical Psychologist (family assessment centre)
Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist to work within a specialist Residential Family Assessment Centre in Worcestershire.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will support babies, young children and parents within a residential family assessment setting.
The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and clinical input, with a particular focus on parenting capacity, trauma, attachment and parent-child relationships. The role will involve observing and assessing families within a structured, supervised and monitored environment, reviewing progress and contributing to final assessment reports.
Contract type – permanent
Hours – full-time or part-time
Salary – £70,000 FTE
Location – Hybrid: 1 day minimum required on-site in Worcestershire (Wednesday)
Experience required:
Clinical Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration and experience in clinical assessment and formulation with families affected by trauma and complex needs.
Experience of family/parenting assessments, court-directed assessments and producing clinical psychology reports for court would be highly desirable. Experience assessing adults with learning, communication or neurodivergent needs would also be advantageous.
The role requires a psychologist who is confident working with parents, infants and young children, with strong assessment, formulation and report-writing skills.
