Counsellor – CYP residential

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Counsellor to work within a hybrid role (WFH and travel to Preston) across children’s residential homes.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will cover approx. 7 EBD homes in Preston for service users age 5-18. The post holder will work remotely, and visit each home offering monthly consultations along with some 121 work with the children and young people.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – 3 days per week, (22.5 hrs p/w)

Salary – up to £38,000 FTE

Experience required:

Counsellor applying will have accreditation or registration with the relevant governing body (HCPC, UKCP, BACP) along with trauma training or extensive experience working with CYP trauma. Due to the nature of the role, a car owner/driver is mandatory.
