Senior Support Worker – Adults Residential Care

Location: Clayton-le-Woods, Lancashire

Pay: Up to £32,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent | 35–40 hours per week

We are working in partnership with a specialist residential care provider in Clayton-le-Woods to recruit an experienced Senior Support Worker for a permanent position supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities.

The Role

• As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading the team and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times. Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing the full medication process, from ordering through to administration
• Ensuring care plans and risk assessments are accurate, up to date, and tailored to individual needs
• Supervising and supporting Support Workers, including carrying out supervisions and appraisals where required
• Promoting independence and supporting individuals in line with their wishes and person-centred plans
• Maintaining a strong commitment to Adult Safeguarding, recognising and reporting any concerns
• Supporting service users to live active, healthy, and fulfilling lives
• Assisting with daily living tasks such as shopping, cooking, and domestic duties
• Attending training, team meetings, and regular supervisions

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker role (Desirable)
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Desirable)
• A compassionate, confident leader with strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for supporting adults with additional needs
