Head of Therapy (Psychologist)

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Head of Therapy (Psychologist) to join a new school opening in 2025, based in West Sussex.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining a newly established SEND secondary school for neurodiverse children and young people, ages 11-16. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and establish the service and culture for this provision. The post holder will have their own clinical caseload as well as lead the therapy service.

Contract type – permanent and term time

Hours – 3 days per week*

Salary – £29,128.41 – £33,641.87 (48.5k – 56k FTE)

*for applicants looking for more hours, there is a possibility that the hours offered can increase in the future.

Experience required:

Clinical, Counselling, Educational and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration along with sound experience working with neurodiverse students, including those diagnosed with autism.
