Counsellor – CYP Trauma

Shire Healthcare are partnering with a specialist CYP care provider for complex needs, looking for an accredited Counsellor to work in North Wales.

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will join an Integrated Therapies Team who work with children and young people (ages 10-18) providing assessments ( psychometric and risk) and psychological interventions (including DBT) on both a 1-2-1 and group basis.

This is a newly established service who support service users with a number of complex interpersonal, behavioural and emotional issues including those who have experienced significant trauma.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – 3 days per week

Salary – £40,000 – £44,000 FTE

Experience required:

Counsellors applying will have accreditation with the BACP, UKCP or BABCP and will have previous experience working with children and young people presenting with complex needs, specifically trauma.

Due to the nature of the role, a car owner/driver is required.
