Creative Therapist – school

Shire Healthcare are working with a leading provider of specialist education and schools recruiting for a Creative Therapist (Music, Art, Drama, Play) to be based at a primary school in Essex.

The role:

The successful candidate will be working as part of an MDT as a Creative Therapist in a primary school offering trauma informed support. The role will be supporting students with SEMH needs. The school provides a highly therapeutic approach for pupils across KS3–KS4, with therapy embedded throughout the school day. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent, individualised therapeutic support. You will deliver high-quality, creative therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of pupils.

Contract Type – permanent

Hours – Full time

Salary – £36,000 – 38,000 FTE

Experience required:

Candidates applying will have:

• A recognised qualification and registration in Art, Music, Drama or Play Therapy/Psychotherapy.
• Experience working therapeutically with children or young people.
• Experience of trauma-informed or attachment-focused practice.
