Psychologist – adolescent inpatient

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for an Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work with young people who have complex emotional and behavioural needs in a specialist adolescent inpatient service in West Sussex.

Role snapshot:

The post holder will be working with young people aged between 12-18 years who present with a wide range of mental health disorders and complex needs. Some may also have additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training to the multi-disciplinary team.

Contract Type – Fixed term contract (Mat cover)

Hours – 5 days per week.

Salary – up to £55,000 FTE

Experience required:

Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist and experience working with young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs ideally in an inpatient setting, either during doctoral training or post qualifying.
