Senior Psychological Therapist – looked after children

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Psychological Therapist to work within CYP residential homes in the North East Region.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be delivering a comprehensive therapeutic service to children and young people in a residential setting. The post holder will oversee Therapeutic Practitioners, including distribution of workload, monitoring progress and supervising. You will support compliance and ensure this is managed appropriately.

You will also maintain and deliver bespoke therapeutic training across the team, and where required, complete therapeutic care planning, deliver assessments, formulations and interventions.

The successful candidate will also develop therapeutic practice understanding, support with triaging and ensure multi-agency/inter-agency collaboration.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary – £34,000 – £45,000 FTE, DOE

Experience required:

Those applying will have a relevant therapeutic qualification, and a minimum of years experience working with looked after children and young people , alongside complex/developmental trauma.

You will also hold previous experience in delivering training and supervision, as well as delivering group work to young people.
