Senior Psychologist – forensic PICU

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC reg Psychologist to work within a specialist forensic PICU service in central Berkshire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT working as a ward psychologist across male and female PICU’s which are both a low secure and medium secure ward. Clients may present with a history of offending, trauma, substance use, personality disorder and/or enduring mental health needs.

The successful candidate will offer evidence based therapeutic interventions in both 121 and group therapy to service users with complex needs. You will also lead the transdisciplinary team where you will provide supervision and training to your peers.

Contract type – permanent

Hours –30 hours (4 days per week)

Salary – £57000 FTE

Experience required:

Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist as well as previous experience working with complex mental health.
