Psychologist – Rehab & secure

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC Psychologist to work within a low secure and Rehabilitation recovery service South Lancashire who have an overall CQC rating of “outstanding.”

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining a well-established MDT working across a low secure ward and rehab and recovery service. The successful candidate will be imbedded within a large Psychology team.

This service offers individualised treatment pathways for forensic patients with complex mental health, recovery needs and risk profiles. Presentations may include personality disorder, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours. The post holder will offer assessments and therapy, both 121 and group based.

Interventions may include CBT, DBT, Radically Open DBT, CAT, EMDR and compassion-focussedtherapy.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time preferred, subject to applications part time may be considered.

Salary – £55,000 FTE

Experience required:

Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist along with experience in working within an inpatient or secure service.
