Psychologist – PICU & acute

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to work within a forensic service in North Hertfordshire with an overall CQC rating of “Good.”

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will be joining an MDT working across low secure, medium secure and PICU wards. The candidate appointed will be working within a purpose-built therapeutic environment where the key focus is maximising positive outcomes and recovery toward independent living.

The postholder will provide psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions (121 and group based) to adult service users. Therapies will include CAT, DBT and schema therapy. Those applying will have the confidence to work with self-harm, challenging behaviours, drug and alcohol addictions and with clients who may have a history of sexual offending.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – between 3-5 days p/w can be considered

Salary – up to £56,000

Experience required:

Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have experience working with a forensic service. HCPC registration is required.
