Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to work within a forensic service in Manchester who have an overall CQC rating of “Good.”

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT within a medium secure service for adult clients who present with various severities of complex mental health needs. Presentations include self-harm, challenging and aggressive behaviours, drug and alcohol problems and/or history of sexual offending.

The post holder will provide assessments, develop care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions including schema therapy, CAT and DBT.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time, subject to applications part time may be considered.

Salary – £40,000 – £55,000 FTE

Experience required:

Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have experience working with complex mental health needs and an interest in working in a secure service, previous forensic experience is not mandatory. HCPC registration is required.
