Psychologist – CYP trauma
Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC reg. Psychologist to work within a specialist CYP Trauma service who work across Berkshire.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT, which includes a Psychologist, Counsellors, Play Therapists and Assistant Psychologists, working in an outpatients clinic, residential homes and schools across Berkshire. The post holder will hold their own clinical caseload as well as supporting the Head of Therapies (Clinical Psychologist) in providing supervision to Assistant Psychologists.
Clinical work will be conducted in either schools, an outpatient clinic or in their 6 small homes, all rated CQC “good” and “outstanding”. The successful candidate will be working with male service users ages 11-18 who present with developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and sexually harmful behaviour.
Contract type – permanent
Hours – full time, subject to applications part time may be considered.
Salary – £42,000 – £50,000 FTE
Experience required:
Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration, experience supervising assistant Psychologists, and experience working with young people and trauma.
