Practitioner Principal Psychologist – LAC

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Practitioner Psychologist to work within a children’s residential service in Manchester.

About the employer:

This service provides a nurturing and supportive environment offering long term placements to children in their care, with five children’s homes in Greater Manchester. The young people in their care (aged 11-17) have experienced significant trauma and may present with emotional and behavioural needs.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will work as the Head of Psychologist overseeing therapeutic input across all homes. The role will include providing clinical leadership as well as working directly with both children and staff in helping in building and developing this service.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – both part time, full time and hybrid working will be considered.

Salary – £60,000 – £65,000 FTE

Experience required:

Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychologist along with experience working with young people who have experienced significant trauma.
