Consultant Psychologist – ASD

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC registered Consultant Psychologist to join a Children’s Charity focused on supporting neurodiversity in Staffordshire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be leading the development and implementation of assessment and intervention pathways for autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team working with children showing neuro-diverse presentations , including a focus on Autism. The successful candidate will consult around diagnostic formulation, lead and contribute to MDT discussion.

The successful post holder will prepare psychological reports, and deliver findings to parents, children and team members accordingly.

You will also develop and deliver training/workshops, risk assess and develop risk management strategies.

Contract type – fixed term contract , 12-14 months

Hours – up to 24 hours , 3 days per week

Salary – £74,290 FTE

Experience required:

Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration as a Psychologist along with extensive experience working with children with neuro-diverse presentations. You will also be able to clinically supervise, and effectively line manage other Psychologists.
